Ms. Alpern is the proud recipient of a Citation from the Town of Hempstead for her charitable endeavors. Ms. Alpern serves on the Ambassadors Council of the Long Island Crisis Center in Bellmore, and was previously a member of the organization’s Board of Directors and a volunteer. Long Island Crisis Center honored Ms. Alpern in 2016 in the ‘Life-Savings Circle of Friends’ and in 2014 with the Linda Nadle Memorial Award for Community Service. Ms. Alpern volunteered from 2003 to 2013 at Pride For Youth where she was recognized in 2012 as Volunteer of the Year. From 2014 through 2016 Ms. Alpern volunteered at Cove Animal Rescue in Glen Cove (formerly Animal Lovers League). Ms. Alpern is a 2019 Achiever of the Long Island Center for Business and Professional Women. Over the years she has participated in races for assorted charities.
